What is a Disability?
A disability can be the result of a debilitating injury or illness. It can be congenital, developmental or acquired. A broad definition maintains that a disability is any physical or mental condition that limits a person’s movements, senses, or activities. Governments, insurance companies, health organizations, the medical profession and even the individual themselves all define disability in a different way. Not all disabilities are visible nor are they all completely debilitating.
